When Favor got a new HQ I was tasked with creating a mural that would represent Favor's past, present & future. It began with a sketch and now stands 10x21 ft. tall right when you get off the elevator. I collaborated with our other designer to develop, design & paint the mural. I got to work with the amazing team over at Charles Schwab to create an adult coloring book to help promote their Own Your Tomorrow campaign. The goal was to create 12 unique, detailed and abstract illustrations that encouraged and energized people about investing. Getting to illustrate a coloring book was always a goal of mine and I’m glad the amazing team over at Charles Schwab gave me the opportunity to bring their vision to life!

I’ve always been intrigued by the ornate designs and rich history of family crests. As my wife and I added another member to our family I figured now was as good a time as any to design a crest for our family. I set out to create a responsive system that could work as a large family crest to a small shield that we could use as a return address stamp.

As a huge soccer fan I’ve always fantasized about branding a team, especially a team that falls somewhere in the middle of soccer and the fashion it inspires. Introducing Black Rose FC, an ever evolving personal project formed for those weekend pickup soccer warriors.

As my wife and I got ready to welcome our first son into the world, Beckett Allen Rogge, we realized the nursery was missing a touch of personal art.

I designed this triptych together that fits the color scheme of his nursery and features some of the animals from his mobile. I hope to one day revisit this series and build it out further.

I was approached by Treaty Oak Distilling in Dripping Springs, TX to help with the rebrand of their Gin, Waterloo Gin. They had recently undergone a rebranding exercise for their overall distillery and wanted their gin brand to fall underneath that look and feel. We set out to update the monogram logo that could be used for Waterloo Gin while fitting in the new Treaty Oak Family.

I worked with Learfield Licensing, The University of New Mexico and craft brewery Rio Bravo Brewing Co. to develop the branding and packaging for a UNM-branded craft beer. El Lobo Rojo is a classic wheat beer brewed with fresh cherry juice and deliciously hopped. As the official color of UNM, cherry was chosen to be the core component of the beer. The can design also features iconography from the school fight song, the Sandia Mountains, the state of New Mexico and a hoppy cherry pattern in the background to tie it all together.

I’ve always wanted to do alcohol branding & packing and decided a great place to start would be a self initiated project, cue Robin Hood Brewing Co. a fictional beer company I developed. Hope you enjoy and we get to see these come to life one day!

I was commissioned by Gensler to design 4 murals for CBRE's new office space in the Williams Tower in downtown Houston. The fifth floor is divided into four “neighborhoods” organized around CBRE’s different lines of business as well as Houston’s geography. I set out to create four murals that not only depicted those neighborhoods and the most well known places/things from those areas of town, but also captivated the viewer with details and cohesiveness across the 4 pieces. The North, South, East and West murals all stand at 9 feet tall and range from 58 to 91 feet wide. 

I was lucky enough to work with Judson Design & Chuck Sanders to illustrate 2 murals for BHP’s new HQ in downtown Houston. The theme was "everything Houston" and the goal was to fill every inch of the space with detail so the viewer could get lost in the piece & discover something new every time. The murals span over 2 walls and are roughly 9' tall by 27' wide.

I was contacted by T Brand Studio, which is a custom content studio for the New York Times, to help create unique illustrations for a set of ads for their digital publication. The ads were to promote Blackrock, the world's largest asset manager. The overall campaign was centered around “Align Your Values With Your Investment” and picked historic milestones that happened on the day the digital newsletter went out. Art Directed by Laura Toffolo.

I was asked to create a poster for the 2019 I Heart Justice show. A poster show in which a select group of Texas artists come together to create limited-edition 24” x 36” silkscreened prints, with each poster highlighting a public policy issue related to Texas Appleseed’s mission and projects.

For my poster I set out to highlight the Justice System. The Justice System, Texas, and humanity are surrounded by many flaws. When those flaws are stripped away, I believe there is inherent truth, beauty, and integrity which I set out to bring to light. My hope is that this piece reminds you that at the core of it all, there is still good in the world.

The poster was originally created for Artists for Education. The goal was to inspire, educate and have someone see something new every time they experience the poster. Inspired by old world star charts, this poster blends the old elements with the new. Packed with imagery it focuses on stars, constellations, moon phases just to name a few. Also to bring a little more new age flair, all the stars & white you see in the poster glows in the dark!!  

Screen printed with white & metallic gold ink these posters shine during both the day & night. Printed by hand by Ramona Press on French Paper, these 24'x18' posters works great as a statement piece in any home, a cool new addition to a kid's room, or and educational piece in the classroom.

I teamed up with MOO & AIGA Austin to create some Austin focused designs for MOO's SXSW booth experience. The goal was to showcase local Austin artists as well as MOO's amazing print capabilities. I was inspired by European crests and wanted to take a shot at what an Austin city crest would look like. I went with a 6”
x9” card on MOO’s Super Paper, with black ink and gold foil. Pick one up for yourself over at my store!

Afterhours is a yearly Austin poster show that is part individual creative expression, and part non-profit fundraiser. The 2019 theme was design for democracy and proceeds went to the non-profit, Austin Tech Alliance. I set out to create a poster that embodies a united, modern day America and reflects the beauty behind what that unity looks like. Afterhours is a poster show that is part individual creative expression, part curated poster show, and part non-profit fundraiser. This year the theme was music and proceeds went to the non-profit, Kids in a New Groove. I set out to push my boundaries and make something a little more artistic and meaningful with this piece. I pulled inspiration from the stain glass windows and various other symbols I saw growing up in the Catholic church. Hope you enjoy!

After Hours is a curated poster show that takes place during the East Austin Studio Tour. It showcases some of the local talent around the Central Texas area as well as serving as a non-profit fundraiser. Each year the theme of the show changes and ties into a local charity. This year's theme was "Paws, Claws, Scales & Gills" and benefitted Austin Pets Alive.

The posters were screen printed by Ramona Press and can be purchased through my store. 

Favor moved into a new HQ on Austin’s east side that is shared with H-E-B Digital. As we moved into the space we created branding and elements that represent the common bond between Favor & H-E-B, which is Texas, while also serving as a neutral identity between the 2 brands. Below are the branding & digital elements created for the space as well as some physical installations around the office. A little something for a very special day that I worked with my better half to create. Screen printed with metallic gold ink on Nightshift Blue French Paper! 

I was contacted by Learfield Licensing to create a pattern to help promote National Tailgate Weekend, which is described as ”Celebrating All Things College Tailgating!”

The pattern was used in many ways, including signage for 700+ stores and in digital/social marketing for 100+ colleges. It was also used by Academy in all 256 stores nationwide.

For Favor’s new HQ, Eastside Tech Hub, I set out to illustrate a mural that tells the history of Favor. The mural has a loose timeline that reads from right to left to compliment the H-E-B mural on the other side of the office. Creating great experiences for the Favor Runners is top priority, and when the build out for the first Runner Clubhouse in Austin happened we knew we had to create a great visual experience for them. I designed and illustrated a mural inside the space depicting the city of Austin and it's best places, as well as a vinyl window mural that spans across the front of the building. I then teamed up with the talented Dakota Pendley to make the inside mural come to life.

As Favor continues to spread across Texas we continue building out Clubhouses in each of our large markets. For the DFW clubhouse I illustrated a mural to pay homage to the DFW area by highlighting some of the main attractions the area had to offer. It’s also laid out geographically so our Community Managers can also use it as a guide to point Runners in the right direction as they deliver in the area. I also created other graphics for the clubhouse including various vinyl window decals to further brand the space.
